News of the Western Belize Recreational Area, about 500 square miles of waterfalls, caves, Mayan ruins and pyramids, Belize Alps, foothills, ranches and farms, tourist accomodations of all types and description, tours and expeditions for vacationers and visitors. Even a small growing expatriate retirement group of people from different countries. In Belize, this is where it is happening, all the things that are fun and even serious, with a climate of ETERNAL SPRING.

Hillview resident, young Terrance!
This is Terrance re-painting the inside of our hostel/hotel. This being the FALL off season, we are renovating for next Xmas tourist season. Terrance was 17 years old when he came to first work with us about six months ago. He only works off and on when he feels like it, or we find work for him. He has turned 18 years now and is an honest and handsome young bachelor. I've been teaching him to use power tools, general carpentry and he even taught himself to carve Mayan wooden plaques. Like any teenager, he is exploring life, his world and trying different things. He quit school a long time ago, so he has to learn to do vocational work to make his life. Terrance lives about two blocks away from our hostel/hotel on the slope of Green Parrot Valley, in Hillview suburb of Santa Elena Town in the Western Belize Recreational Area. He has even learned how to plant vegetables.
