WINES OF BELIZE!
Belize has umpteen cottage industry type wine producers. Even one or two larger professional scale wine producers. Again glass bottles, corks and caps are the problem. You have to import them. This runs the cost up. We have lots of delicious wines, and we could export to niche markets. Nobody yet has figured out how to lick the glass bottle container situation problem. Right now the country uses recycled glass bottles of varying shapes and sizes from imports of other products.
The wines of Belize I´m sure could compete on the world arena. I´'d love to see some local wines entered in the European and USA wine tasting competitions. Just for the shock value, there is an export niche market for products like cashew wines and other tropical fruits.
The government needs to think about fostering export producers and making it simple to import the machinery and products to make containers.
