1600 foot Falls of the Belize Alps. ( one of them )

* This is the viewing balcony looking over the falls. You can actually see only the first few hundred feet, as the slope of the hill and gorge goes down so steeply, it cuts off a view of the immediate drop and bottom. Entrance fee was $1 usa.
This is called the Thousand Foot Falls, though it has been measured over 1600 feet in height and drops into Roaring Creek Gorge on a Belize Alps day tour trip.

Beautiful flowers found at Rio Frio Cave tourist cave site.

Jungle flowers can be very beautiful. This photo was taken by some college students last January, down by the Rio Frio Cave site and the botanical trail found near the entrance, up in the foothills of the Belize Alps at De Silva Forestry village.
The student group came from Berea College in Kentucky on a overseas study program for one month and one credit.
