50 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE BELIZE WESTERN BORDER LIES EL MIRADOR OF THE MAYAN EMPIRE

50 MILES TO THE NORTHWEST OF BELIZE IN THE MAYAN EMPIRE A NEW CITY IS SLOWLY BEING DUG OUT OF THE JUNGLE. EL MIRADOR.

Guatemala - A new Mayan archaeological discovery of a 2,200 year old carving was found at El Mirador, Guatemala. The archaeological site El Mirador continues to astound the world. A team of archaeologists, mostly Guatemalans, under the coordination of Richard Hansen made the discovery of a carving of the Mayan Pre-Classic Period which dates from 200 BC. This new finding was presented by the Minister of Culture and Sports, Jeronimo Lancerio and businessmen who support the project. Vice- President Rafael Espada and important members of the Guatemalan Press where also present.

"This finding is impressive as finding the Mona Lisa. It is an impressive example of Mayan art", Hansen stated. The carving is in a structures that was used to store water and shows a Mayan mythological passage, where the twin heroes Ixbalanque and Hunacpú leave the underworld carrying the head of their father, Hun Hunapú.

The archaeological site "El Mirador" is being developed to be the crown jewel within the Park "Cuatro Balam". This is a development project which aims to create the largest archaeological park in the world, containing over four thousand Mayan pyramids. The project started under President Berger and is now being continued by President Alvaro Colom and a group of entrepreneurs.

miradorespadaAs a fantastic and very impressive experience described Dr. Rafael Espada his visit to the Mirador, Petén, where he arrived accompanied by a working committee to assess options for protecting the natural and archaeological reserves in the country.

Vice-President Dr. Rafael Espada is the coordinator of the Socio- Environmental cabinet, as such he expressed his support for the project and the need to establish the legal framework to protect El Mirador.
"We have to protect this cultural heritage which preserves important elements of Mayan culture. This jungle which has existed for thousands of years also needs our protection. We need to take the necessary steps to provide legislation for the protection of the area and to respect this sacred land" said the Vice President Espada.

The project will benefit local communities, protect the tropical forests of the Basin "El Mirador", and will generate tourism and development for the department of Petén.

GENERAL ELECTION IN BELIZE MARCH 7TH, 2012.

UDP EXPECTED TO WIN NEXT GENERAL ELECTION BY A LANDSLIDE IN 4 WEEKS.

The PUP had so much internal fighting, over titles, positions and the fact the PUP treasury was in debt and empty. The outfit basically collapsed as a political party. Nobody even knows out West if there are PUP candidates and who they might be? Such knowledge is passed on through the community by word of mouth, verbal gossip. NONE of the candidates, have had the resources to put up banners, placards or other advertising. Said, Ralph and Glenn, wiped out the money tree, from the PUP and since then, there is no hope for them as a party.

The INDEPENDENTS have said they joined together, but as far as I know, they have none on Caye Caulker and none in the CAYO DISTRICT. At least I have neither heard or seen anyone offering themselves. With only four weeks left to the ELECTION, the mystery will be to see who the devil they put on the ballot. Wonder when registration is?

The incumbent party are relying on familiarity, having been in office for four years. The names of the incumbents are familiar, but they too are guilty of not campaigning. I guess they are running on memory and record?

With only four weeks, this is the most un-election I have ever seen, since the days of British Honduras. Nobody is obviously running for office, apparently? Guess we will find out what choices we will have on the ballot on election day, since nobody is campaigning.

BELIZE HELPED BY CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY press release lacks technical specifics?

CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, TO WORK WITH ATLANTIC BANK, INSTEAD OF BANK OF NOVA SCOTIA ( A CANADIAN BANK ) HERE IN BELIZE.

While the announcements and press releases sound good and complimentary to any CANADIAN INTEREST in helping Belize. The press release is very confusing as to real intent and how it would work? It sounds more like a pumping stock press release from Treaty Oil, on the OTC, than a real move of any kind we can figure out?

Atlantic Bank in Belize has been cutting INTEREST RATES ON CD´S and refusing to issue new CD´s because they are awash in too much money. LOANS are not being taken out, or the competition for loan borrowers has seemingly narrowed the market niche, particularly on real estate secured loans. BELIZE is seemingly awash in too much money? So they tell us at the banks. My own CD rates have been cut twice starting from 8.5 % to 6 % and this month, they notify me, they will cut my C.D. rate to 4%. I´m doing the best to spend what I have, as it does not pay at 4% and the interest was originally the major part of my monthly living allowance. We as a family are feeling the pinch with rising prices and smaller living allowance. None of this gobbylgook is enlightening, as to what is really going on financially within Belize. In the meantime we are like everybody else trying to make ends meet. Frankly I don´t believe any of this gobblygook helping me or anybody else in Belize. If the country is currently already awash with money, what the heck are we going to need Canadian money for?

PRESS RELEASE!

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is helping Atlantic Bank provide financial services to Belize s small and medium enterprises, an important engine of growth in a country heavily dependent on businesses in the tourism, agriculture, and retail sectors. This project is being supported by the Canadian International Development Agency.

IFC s work will strengthen Atlantic Bank s competitive line of products and services, which are expected to result in over $15 million in funding to SMEs, a 40 percent increase in Atlantic Bank s SME portfolio over five years. With this support, Atlantic Bank will be better positioned to help entrepreneurs in Belize develop sustainable businesses.

We welcome IFC as a partner in our effort to create a sustainable and prosperous business environment for our SMEs, and look forward to helping the country diversify and increase economic activity where it is most needed, said Sandra Bedran, General Manager, Atlantic Bank.

SO YOU WANT TO IMMIGRATE TO BELIZE?

BELIZE GETS A LOT OF ENQUIRIES DURING THE COLD WINTER MONTHS UP IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE, FROM PEOPLE WANTING TO IMMIGRATE HERE TO A WARM CLIMATE.

Belize is desirous of pioneering immigrants, able to sustain themselves. Belize is a FRONTIER COUNTRY, third world, with a lot to offer. The one thing it cannot offer is jobs to incoming immigrants. There are none. If you cannot sustain yourself, or start your own pioneering business, then Belize is not a country attractive to POOR IMMIGRANTS. IMMIGRANTS WITH SKILLS are desirous though. We need CNC lathe operators, and foundry workers, ability to cast metal in green sand molds, or construct special machinery to do functions like make a tea bag machine, on a kitchen table, for exporting tea bags of various local jungle herbs. Or one who can make chocolates and package and ship same for export. Hammock makers, and any other export niche market idea you might have. You would need the smarts to locate your own foreign market and sources of material supplies you might need. If you can do these things and have a bit of sustainable capital to carry you through two lean years, or so, then we would welcome you. Technological skills are scarce here in many fields and the incoming IMMIGRANT who knows how to do specialized things with an export market in mind, will enjoy living in Belize and meeting the challenges.

New World Oil and Gas Plc / Index: AIM / Epic: NEW / Sector: Oil & Gas
1 February 2012
New World Oil and Gas Plc ('New World' or 'the Company')
Amendment to Farm-Out Agreement to Increase Working Interest in Blue Creek Project, Belize
New World Oil and Gas Plc, a company focussed on making investments in the oil and gas sector, announces that Blue Creek Exploration Limited ('BCE') and the Company have agreed to amend the terms of the Farm-Out Agreement entered into between them on 15 June 2011 (the 'BCE FOA'), through the signing of an amendment agreement entered into between New World and BCE on 26 January 2012 (the 'Amendment'). Subject to standard regulatory approval, the Amendment will lead to New World being assigned a higher working interest in the Blue Creek Project, Belize, following completion of the seismic programme.
The BCE FOA relates to the 420 sq km Blue Creek Project in the Peten Basin in Northwest Belize with current estimated gross P50 volumetrics of 294MMbbl and a combined Expected Monetary Value (EMV(10) ) of $1.51bn. New World is the operator of the Project and currently has a 12.5% working interest with the option to raise this to 100% upon the completion of a staged work in programme. The Company has completed phase one and two of a planned three phase 2-D seismic acquisition programme, with a total of 139.15 line kilometres acquired to date at a cost of US$2,125,000.
Key elements of the Amendment
As a result of today's amendment agreement, upon the acquisition and submission for processing of an additional 61 km lines of 2-D seismic by Q2 2012 at an estimated cost of US$858,000 BCE shall transfer a further 10% working interest in the Blue Creek PSA to New World. As such, once the seismic acquisition programme has been completed, under the Amendment, the Company will have acquired a 35% working interest in the Blue Creek PSA as opposed to the 25% working interest envisaged under the previous BCE FOA.
Amended terms of the Farm-in Programme are as follows:
-- Upon the acquisition of 45 line km of 2-D seismic data over the Project BCE assigns 12.5% of its rights under the PSA to the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary New World Oil and Gas (Belize) Ltd ('NW Belize') (assigned)
-- Upon the acquisition of an additional 125 line km of 2-D seismic data over the Project, BCE must transfer and assign a further 12.5% of its rights under the PSA to NW Belize (completed, yet to be assigned)
-- Upon the acquisition of an additional 61 line km of 2-D seismic data over the Project, BCE must transfer and assign a further 10% of its rights under the PSA to NW Belize
-- Upon the drilling and completion of the first well through the Jurassic, BCE must transfer and assign a further 32.5% of its rights under the PSA to NW Belize
-- Upon the drilling and completion of the second well through the Jurassic, BCE must transfer and assign the remaining 32.5% of its rights under the PSA to NW Belize
New World CEO William Kelleher said, "We are delighted with the amendment to the FOA, as it delivers New World an additional 10% working interest in the Blue Creek PSA in return for additional seismic work that will be applied towards further high-grading our prospects. As a result, before we elect whether to proceed to the drilling phase, we will have earned a 35% interest in the highly prospective Blue Creek Project.
"We are also highly encouraged by the decision of our seismic contractor to accept New World shares in payment for the major portion of the extra 61 line kilometres of 2-D seismic, a vote of confidence in Blue Creek's prospectivity. The Company expects this new seismic work to be completed by the end of Q1 2012 and following processing and interpretation, we expect to update the Blue Creek Competent Person's Report."

In the meantime, JAGUAR CAPITAL MANAGEMENT was up 2% for January. Shares rose from .73 cents a share to .75 cents a share.

- VERY interesting ... and yes, Belize can buy back its own debt anytime on the secondary market.
