SO YOU WANT TO IMMIGRATE TO BELIZE?

BELIZE GETS A LOT OF ENQUIRIES DURING THE COLD WINTER MONTHS UP IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE, FROM PEOPLE WANTING TO IMMIGRATE HERE TO A WARM CLIMATE.

Belize is desirous of pioneering immigrants, able to sustain themselves. Belize is a FRONTIER COUNTRY, third world, with a lot to offer. The one thing it cannot offer is jobs to incoming immigrants. There are none. If you cannot sustain yourself, or start your own pioneering business, then Belize is not a country attractive to POOR IMMIGRANTS. IMMIGRANTS WITH SKILLS are desirous though. We need CNC lathe operators, and foundry workers, ability to cast metal in green sand molds, or construct special machinery to do functions like make a tea bag machine, on a kitchen table, for exporting tea bags of various local jungle herbs. Or one who can make chocolates and package and ship same for export. Hammock makers, and any other export niche market idea you might have. You would need the smarts to locate your own foreign market and sources of material supplies you might need. If you can do these things and have a bit of sustainable capital to carry you through two lean years, or so, then we would welcome you. Technological skills are scarce here in many fields and the incoming IMMIGRANT who knows how to do specialized things with an export market in mind, will enjoy living in Belize and meeting the challenges.

To quote someone else : "if you want to have a small fortune in Belize, you need to come with a big one". Go figure.
