ECONOMY OF WESTERN BELIZE IS VERY STRONG!

ECONOMY OF WESTERN BELIZE IS VERY STRONG!

You often hear the port of Belize City crowd complaining on the radio and television about the economy of Belize. You sure can't say that is true, for out here in Western Belize. Labor is hard to get. Skilled technicians even harder. The Hardware stores claim they are rotating their stock of most used goods and appliances, like washing machines, stoves and refrigerators in less than 30 days and it has been that way for a while. Money is flowing, the Mennonite farmers of the Heartland area are RICH mon! Most of them anyway. New stores keep opening up and the old ones seem to be doing very well and are certainly financially comfortable according to how fast they keep selling out their inventories. Construction is ongoing at a steady pace.
The USA may be in a recession and those lazy whiners and complainers of the port town here, a hundred miles a way would have the world believe Belize is doing badly. Far from it! FACTS don't lie and store inventory is turning over so rapid, money has to be made someplace? Even the GREAT RIVER Flood of October, 2008 made only a small dimple on the good economic times. Trouble with those complainers and whiners on the radio talk shows in Belize City, is they smoke to much GANJA.
