TAIWAN INTERESTED IN INVESTING IN THE SUGAR INDUSTRY IN BELIZE

SUGAR CANE FARMERS AND BSI FACTORY IN RESTRUCTURING MODE

The foreign BANK that holds debts on the FACTORY has not yet authorized the loan of $10 million to the factory approved by the Government political party, the UDP. apparently they want the BSI factory, to go into foreclosure?
On the other hand, ATLANTIC BANK are interested in lending money to the sugar industry, but unlikely in any kind of TIMELINE to help cane farmers.

More credible is the expression of interest by THE GOVERNMENT OF TAIWAN in the sugar industry and their expressed willingness to participate. What form that would take and what TIMELINE would be involved is not known.
