JATROPHA OIL PELLETS FOR OORJA STOVE COOKING CUTS BUTANE STOVE COOKING IN HALF.

GRAHAM HERBET has been planting trees, and selling seedlings for the JATROPHA tree.  He has developed pellets of Jatropha, an oil tree.  Now Graham has expanded his operation and is now importing into Belize from India, the stainless steel biomass cooking stove used in villages in India, that normally over there, use cow patties and wood to cook with.  With his oil pellets, he says trials show that his new stainless steel cooking stove ( selling for about $60 usa ) runs cheaper than the more common BUTANE STOVES with gas, used for cooking everywhere in Belize.  The Butane is imported from Mexico and Guatemala  into Belize.
As a new cooking stove distributor, he plans to distribute his stoves in 200 villages in rural Belize.  Jatropha oil pellets for cooking fuel are $10 Bz ( $5 us ) per 30 lb bag.  There is no smoke.  This kind of stove was developed in India by their Institute of Science, in Bangalore.  The stove is called the Oorja stove and comes in three sizes.  Graham claims that you can cook twice as long with his Jatropha pellets for the same price as Butane gas.  So he is competitive with fuel at half the cost.
