Different nations have been imperialists and colonized parts of the world they conquered. All such nations enriched their citizens and especially in the case of royal families, at the expense of the lands and populations, they conquered and exploited through MONOPOLIES. A tried and true method of foreigners getting rich off conquered and occupied people. It goes on to this very day, in one disguise or another.

Monopolies and economic domination is more sophisticated today, but still goes on. We currently in the Caribbean suffer from the OECD. Lord Ashcroft was just like any colonial exploiter seeking monopolies over BTL. We were too naive in Belize with a smaller population that was uneducated. Not so much today, but still common.
