BELIZE WINTER WEATHER

THE WEATHER IN BELIZE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER,2010

Foreigners and immigrants often wonder what the weather is like in Belize. April and May are our summer time and you can get over 90F weather during these months. It can get humid and muggy during June and July. This is the first week of November. Normally we sleep naked on the bed. A light sheet handy should it get a bit cool. Cool and cold are relative terms. We live in the Northern hemisphere of the tropics. It depends on what you are used to, or become acclimatized to. This past week we had the first of the winter time NORTHERS blast through from all the way up in the Pacific Northwest, of North America. They go as far South as Nicaragua. Temperature this past week dropped into the high 70's F. To us here, we have been sleeping with a sheet, a coverlet, a woolen blanket brought from the highlands of Guatemala mountain ranges and a six inch eiderdown, bought in a THRIFT SHOP up in Miami, Florida. Snug and warm as the night temperatures dropped to the mid 70's F.
Our debating listserve say they had 1/2 inch of snow in Ashville in the Southern USA.
