Belize should abandon Public Consultation on Constitutional Amerndment.

TWO MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES, USE PARTISAN POLITICS AS A TUSSLE FOR SUPREMACY, USING A PUBLIC CONSULTATION PROCESS OVER CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

The nationwide advertised public consultation process on the Amendments proposed for Constitutional changes, has de-generated into supremacy proof of partisan politics. The UDP government started it, and the PUP have accepted the challenge. The Consultation process in Dangriga was shameful. Noise, shouting and political gangs competed for the microphones. The public consultation process has obviously gone awry and should be abandoned and leave it to a REFERENDUM.
The UDP are pulling out all stops apparently, to skew public opinion, based on their majority in government. The arguments and debate on constitutionality, either for or against, have been lost in the noise and political posturing. I´m reminded of Hitler´s rise to power in the early 1930´s.
The UDP government public announcements after the meeting were pure lies, say independent observers who were doing counting of those for and against the Constitutional 9th Amendment.
