Annual dentistry for problem wildlife Jaguars in Belize

Wild jaguars get root canals at Belize Zoo re-hab annual program.

THE RE-HAB CENTER IN BELIZE FOR PROBLEM WILD JAGUARS

What can you say about a country that cares so much about wildlife, that we even have a re-hab program for trapped, wild jaguars, that are serviced at our tiny, tiny, but really tiny Belize Zoo, of which Belizeans are so proud. Small as it is.
Mostly with Jaguars, they are supposed to live off hunting paca, deer, and peccary and other jungle small animals. Belize jungles have no large animals like in Africa, or the USA and Canada. Anyway, when Jaguars break their teeth, they tend to prey on farm livestock, like dogs, sheep, chickens and cattle. They get trapped and sent to the re-hab center at the Belize Zoo. Dr. Ed takes time once a year to do dental operations on captured Jaguar and does fillings and root canals.
